As you can see here, I have long had a love affair with Long Tall Sally, and I must say that the only thing better than doing one review of Long Tall Sally is getting to do another one. The beauty of this LTS trench, like all classic trench coats, is that it can be worn a myriad of ways. I kept it simple, as Audrey would have done, and paired it with like colors: a beige pantsuit, nude heels, and an autumnal scarf. An added bonus to this color scheme (and which I didn’t think of until walking down the streets of DC, garnering even more stares than usual!) is that it acts as a kind of camouflage helping to tame the fact that these heels push me a few inches short of seven feet tall.
This jacket, wonderfully long, comfortable, versatile, and functional has already accompanied me to a few work meetings and back, and there truly is no better way to zigzag through a city, hopping puddles and cutting through alleyways, than by wearing a classic trench such as this. The cinematic aspect of it nearly makes me forget about all the melting snow currently turning DC into a slippery, cement trap!
But melting snow can only mean one thing: spring must be near! (This is probably a little harder to believe if you live in Boston like Kacy or NYC like Bree!). I intend to put this jacket into regular rotation come springtime, and already have plans to bring it along on my upcoming sisters’ weekend getaway!
